At the age of 35 years old I ran a PB for 10K which stands today at 37 min 16 secs.
I also ran the 1500m at 35 years old in a time 4 min 51 secs! (Vets AC Championships finishing 3rd in the race!)
At the Age of 43 years old I ran 5 min 17 secs for the 1500m and 19 min 43 seconds for the 5000m. (whilst serving in the Army).
I think I must be the only athlete to finish 2nd in the Army Cross Country Championships 4 times with a different winner on each occasion.
I was an active member of Grimsby Harriers & AC as a committee member and the Communications Coordinator for 3 years and as Team Manager/competitor guided the Northern Track and Field League Division 4 Grimsby Harriers & AC team to 4th and 2 x 3rd places - just short of promotion to Division 3 due to lack of numbers of competing athletes. (2012 to 2014).
I am committed to running and aim to do well as a Vet 60 in the 1500m and 3000m track and up to 10K on the road.
