I seriously started running when I joined Ashford & District Road Runners in late 2009, taking part in my first race in December. Under their guidance I progressed nicely with my times and left them with PB's of 47.07 (10k), 76.57 (10 miles), 1.40.35 (Half) and 4.09.48 (Marathon). I moved over to Folkestone Running Club in mid 2011 and have ran competitively for them since September 2011. My times have improved dramatically from this period and I am consistently running sub 20 for 5k, sub 40 for 10k, sub 70 for 10 miles and sub 1.30 for a half marathon. I was also able to run a sub 3.30 at the London Marathon in April 2013. The PB's are slowing down now, but I would like to think I am at least running more consistently now and I have also had a dabble with cross country and the track.
