I am a Consultant in Sport & Exercise Medicine based in Manchester and Wilmslow.

I have worked regularly for UK Athletics since 2005 as an event doctor, and also travelled as Team Doctor to Annecy, France (European Cup), Jordan (World Cross Country 2009) and Lithuania (European U23's 2009) & Ostrava 2011. I worked at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
In 2013 I was team doctor at the European U20's in Rieti and in 2014 the World Juniors in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Followed by European Juniors again is Eskilstuna in 2015 and Poland in 2016
I trained in the NHS, and worked as a Consultant at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and now have Private Practice in Manchester
I am an avid Athletics fan, and still like to go training in Sport City, Manchester
Personal Bests of 7.37 (60m), 11.3 (100m), 22.7 (200m), 35.2 (300m), 50.4 (400m), 2m04s (800m) & 3hr50m (Marathon!)

My highlight as an athlete was winning the 100m, 200m and 400m at the 2005 World Medical Games in Alicante, Spain and a Bronze in the 200m at the British Masters, a feat I repeated in 2017 in Marseille.
At age 36 I entered the European Masters in San Sebastian, Spain winning a Bronze in the 4x200m relay
